Dozens of Hagen residents gathered in Hagen on Monday to express their support for the local Jewish community after German security services foiled an alleged plot to attack a synagogue in the city last week.
"We stand against antisemitism in Germany and in Hagen today, that was our message,” Ralph Sondermier, the event organiser, said.
Four people were arrested in connection to the suspected plot, with only one suspect still detained.
The main suspect is said to have admitted having contact with a bomb builder, according to prosecutors, but denies planning an attack. According to local media, he was brought before a magistrate on Friday.
